His assistant coaches will be named in the next few weeks.
In his playing days at Wheeling Central Catholic High School, Young was part of the Maroon Knight's 1996 Class A state championship team under the direction of Jim "Dubie" Dailer.
Young comes from a large family of coaches. His uncle Mike is the head football coach and athletic director at Wheeling Central. Young's brother-in-law Jason Rine is an assistant football coach at Wheeling Central, and his cousin John Young is a college football coach in Ohio.
