Man Considered Flight Risk in Wintersville Shooting, Bond Set at $1 Million

Stephen Threats, accused in the shooting death of a man in Wintersville, pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated murder with a gun specification and tampering with evidence on Wednesday.

Threats bond was set at $1 million because he is considered a flight risk.

Threats allegedly shot and killed 22 year old Chad Taravell the Ridgewood Place Apartments back in May. Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said the gun that killed Taravell was discovered during their investigation.

No motive has been released.
