Man Attacked with Butcher Knife in Steubenville; Suspect Not Found

Steubenville Police are investigating after a man pulls a butcher knife on another man and demands money.

Police say the victim was walking his dog late last night in the 700 block of Oakmont Street when a black man, described as having corn rows in his hair, wearing jeans, an aqua t-shirt and a Chicago Bears hat asked him for a lighter.

The victim told the man he did not have a lighter, and that's when the suspect demanded money and pulled out a knife. The two men got in a fight, and the victim received several wounds to the chest and stomach.

The victim told police the man ran off, and dropped the knife. Police said they found the knife in the alley where the attack happened, but they did not locate a suspect.
