WHEELING - In May, the Ohio County Commission confirmed the Pittsburgh-based sandwich eatery, Primanti Brothers would soon come to the Highlands.

The restaurant hasn't wasted anytime in getting their Ohio Valley business off the ground.

Most of the frame for the building is up and residents are pleased about the newest expansion to the area. “Oh it'll be an awesome addition. Their food is just awesome, they've got a great happy hour, I mean for all of the workers down here it's going to be a huge plus for them,” said Pittsburgh Native, Zach Guerrieri.

“You've got a variety of food. You've got Chinese, Japanese, all kinds of different restaurants, it depends on what your taste is,” said Scottlyn Ullom of Wheeling.

“I am excited, because I work up here and I'm hoping it'll drive more people up here and keeps business flowing up here, so I am excited about it opening,” said Aubrey Charlton of Wheeling.

Others who pass through the area, for work seem to think there are more than enough options when it comes to food at the Highlands.
Derrick King works in the natural gas and oil industry and passes through the area frequently. “I've seen more than a dozen of restaurants coming down through this way, I don't see any more needed, to be honest this you,” King said.

The restaurant seems to be well on its way to making a grand opening this fall, right in time for football season.
