Winners Announced in Wine, Sauce Competitions as the Italian Festival Winds Down
As the Italian Festival came to a close, the winners of the wine and sauce contest were announced and awarded their medals and trophies Sunday afternoon.
In the sauce category, Diane Conroy took home both a gold medal for her miscellaneous sauce, and a silver medal for her red sauce. Frank Muraca and Trisha Committee both were awarded with silver medals for their red sauces. Jeanette Hisson won bronze for her miscellaneous sauce.
As for the wine, Frank Scenna won Best in Show, gold, and silver for his red wines. A.J. Estock and Ricardo Torres took home bronze medals for their wines. In the white category, Jim Baller won gold.
The competition of sauces was limited to either red or miscellaneous, while the wine competition was put into categories of red, sweet red, white, and sweet white.
