New Wheeling Jesuit Housing Complex Nearing Completion

Posted: Updated:
WHEELING - Wheeling Jesuit University's new 36-unit adult and graduate housing complex, Cardinal Commons, is nearly complete.

Construction began in late February is expected to be completed by Aug. 23
on the new building, which will be ready for occupancy for the 2014-15 academic year.  The project developer and owner of the complex, Double J Reality, Inc., is leasing the entire building to Wheeling Jesuit.

“I’ve talked with a number of our graduate students, and they are very anxious and excited for the Cardinal Commons to be completed.  We appreciate Double J Reality’s fast pace during the last few months,” said WJU President Rev. James Fleming, S.J.

In addition to the 36-units, a parking lot behind the commons will provide a space for each resident. Additional parking will also be available via a new lighted walkway from the commons to the main campus. No street parking will be used, so it is available for WJU’s neighbors.
