Rayland Man Pleads Guilty to Robbing Bridgeport Citizens Bank
ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio -
The man charged with robbing the Bridgeport Citizens Bank on May 27 pleaded guilty to all charges on Monday.
James Oberman Jr., 31, of Rayland, had just got out of prison for robbing a bank in Jefferson County, when he robbed the one in Bridgeport. He was charged with aggravated robbery with a firearm specification, because he allegedly held up the bank with a gun. He is also being charged with possession of weapons under disability, since he was a felon and not allowed to have a gun.
He pleaded guilty to both counts on Monday. Oberman could get a maximum of 17 years behind bars. His sentencing is scheduled for October. He remains in the Belmont County Jail.
