For the next 15 weekends, West Virginia Illustrated will provide an exclusive look at West Virginia University sports. The new show “Mountaineer Gameday” will be broadcast at 10 a.m. on all West Virginia Media Holdings television stations and at 11 a.m. on Root Sports Pittsburgh starting Aug. 30. The show will run every Saturday until the final regular season WVU game Nov. 29.

West Virginia Media Holdings is the parent company of both West Virginia Illustrated and The State Journal.

“Our goal is simple — make Mountaineer Gameday the destination viewing for all WVU fans in Morgantown and across the region by informing each viewer of the latest team news as kickoff approaches each weekend,” said WV Illustrated Operations Manager and Executive Producer Chuck Scatterday.

The show will be co-hosted each week from the WVU studios at One Waterfront Place in Morgantown by Scott Grayson and WVU Athletics Reporter Amanda Mazey, with live reports from Geoff Coyle and Matt Hauswirth. The WVU Reed College of Media also has partnered with the production for WVU media students to work in support roles along with the Gameday crew.

Mountaineer Gameday will feature both live and taped segments from personalities such as WVU President E. Gordon Gee, Athletic Director Oliver Luck, Head Coach Dana Holgorsen and Dale Wolfley.
