A 15-year-old has been arrested for allegedly firing a gun at another young juvenile in Steubenville‘s south projects Tuesday night.

When police arrived on scene at 480 South 6th street, they found another juvenile, who was not the boy’s intended target, grazed in the leg by the bullet. She was treated at the scene and not taken to the hospital.

Steubenville Police Chief Bill McCafferty says this is part of an ongoing feud between two boys, and they are taking this very seriously.

“They don’t like each other, the two subjects involved. From my understanding of what officers gathered and what we found out this morning, that there were two altercations earlier in the day that may have been physical, and we believe one of the juveniles went and got a gun and fired a shot at him,” said Chief McCafferty.

Charges are pending against the boy.
