Police say a drive-by shooting in Steubenville’s south end projects last night could possibly be tied to another shooting incident from earlier this month.
A 16 -year-old girl was hit in both feet by a bullet that entered an apartment at 460 south 5th street.
Steubenville police chief Bill McCafferty says they believe the home was intentionally targeted, but probably not the girl specifically.
He adds that juvenile firearm crime is at the highest levels they have ever seen, and it is a priority to find the adults who are supplying children with these guns.
According to police, eight casings were recovered and detectives are following several tips.
