A Look at Your Holiday Weekend Activities Across the Ohio Valley


It’s another busy weekend around the Ohio Valley– especially when you mix in the 4th of July Holiday.
First things First, it’s First Friday here in Downtown Wheeling–always a night filled with fun from downtown to centre market.
Catch the trolly running from 4:30 p.m.to 10:30 p.m. for a complete list of participating businesses check them out Facebook by searching First Friday Wheeling.
Meantime in Weirton, class it up a little with the Wheeling Symphony, they’re traveling north to take part in the Downtown at Sundown series, held here at the Weirton events center, that show starts at 7:00 p.m. 
Also tonight,several fireworks show, including Oglebay’s, wells township and Moundsville.
Calling all runners and walkers, and go getters, you have a few races you can chose from tomorrow.
In Wheeling, the Freedom 5 Mile run starts at WesBanco, winding through a flat course of Downtown Wheeling. That starts at 8:30. 
Then a new one this year at Grand Vue Park, their first ever Red White and Blue Color Run benefits the Wounded Warriors Project.
And that’s not all that’s going on at GrandVue –they’re giving away Free rides on the SuperZip for all veterans and active duty military tomorrow from Noon to 7:00 p.m.
And for everyone else, a special 5line zip tour only costs $35!

Join the folks at Cabela’s tomorrow morning for their 4th Annual Star Spangled Celebration at 10:00 a.m.where they’ll pay tribute to veterans and active duty military–Boatsie’s Boxes will also be there collecting for their cause.
Back to the friendly city where there are events all day long leading up to a grand finale fireworks show, including a dedication and naming ceremony for this girl right here…that starts at 10:30 a.m.
Then the Wheeling Symphony, their busy bodies, back at Heritage Port for a show at 7:30 followed by Fireworks at Dusk, you’ll want to look south to WesBanco for those.
Rounding out the weekend the 12th Annual Wheeling Heritage Car show Sunday from 11-4.
Most importantly this weekend–remember just why we get to celebrate our Freedom, and stay safe –never drink and drive.
