COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Anti-hunger advocates plan to release new information about who is going hungry in Ohio.
The state figures are part of Feeding America’s national report on hunger.
The study includes data on the roughly 6,700 people in emergency food programs in Ohio, and provides information about close to 1,900 hunger relief agencies.
The Ohio Association of Foodbanks plans to release the state figures Thursday at a news conference in Columbus.
Advocates plan to discuss the makeup of households served by the state’s emergency food network, along with information about their coping strategies and the long-term health implications of hunger.
