Annual Mead Township Clean-Up Day Happening Now

The annual Mead Township “clean-up day” is set for Saturday, May 21 at Ferry Landing Road, under the Moundsville Bridge.

Residents will be able to drop items off from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The JB Green Team and the Mead Township Trustees will accept appliances, house and lawn furniture, mattresses, carpeting, household electronics, household batteries, car batteries and most other junk items. Standard car or like truck will be accepted, but there is a 10 tires per vehicle limit.

Items that are not accepted are: rimmed tires or tractor-trailer tires, paints, liquids, fluorescent tubes, hazardous waste, food, diapers, leaves, tree branches or limbs, concrete block or bricks.

If you plan to drop items off, you are asked to bag or box loose materials to help the dumping line move faster.
