Arrest made in connection to family pet shooting

A woman has been arrested in connection to a cruelty to animals case in Hancock County.

Janet Lynn Greenwald is being charged with cruelty to animals after allegedly using two arrows to shoot a family’s dog. One of the arrows pierced the dog’s jaw, without breaking it. The dog was in the family’s fenced in backyard when the incident occurred. He was then rushed to the Emergency Animal Hospital in Wheeling to have 13 staples put in to close the wound.

After a few weeks of healing, Moose (the dog) is expected to make a full recovery.
