Arrests Up After More Investigating at Traffic Stops

New numbers released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol says drug arrests in the first six months of 2015 are up 10 percent compared to last year, and up 30 percent compared to the previous three years in Ohio.

The patrol says this is thanks to troopers taking extra time during traffic stops.

From January to June, troopers arrested more than 6,200 people.

Lt. Joe Fetty of the Steubenville post says troopers have an opportunity to stop a multitude of crimes by just being on the lookout during stops.

You can help by calling “#677” if you nee to report suspicious drivers.
