Asphalt Paving Project Begins

The 2014 Asphalt Resurfacing Program began Tuesday with work on Braybarton Boulevard, Terri Avenue, Linda Way, Harvard Avenue, Parkdale Road, Yale Place and Princeton Avenue.

The 959 thousand dollar program will include roadway re-surfacing and will upgrade storm drains.

City Engineer Mike Dolak said there will be some restrictions.

“The road won’t be closed but we are asking people to avoid the roadway if possible. There will be no parking on the roadway signs  posted and if we can’t get people to move their vehicles they will be towed and we really don’t like doing that,” said Dolak.

The project began on Braybarton this week and then crews will head to Linda Way and then Terri Avenue Tuesday through Thursday.

Dolak says he hopes to have the entire project completed by October 31st.
