Countdown To The Draft

The Old Milk Jug was up for grabs in Friday night in Morristown and it looked like Union Local was going to etch their name for the third straight year with a 20-7 lead at half.

But Barnesville had Caide Bunfill in the backfield and the big fullback would rumble through the Jet defense early in the 3rd before being knocked out inside the 10 yard line. Matthew Burkhart then would leap for the touchdown to make it 20-13 UL.

And the comeback would continue as Bunfill would hit pay dirt from inside the 5 to make it 20-19 in the start of the fourth as the lead shrank even more.

The Shamrocks would go for 2 to take the lead and it’d be Bunfill this time throwing it and Burkhart coming down with it like a one man cold. The Rocks took the lead 21-20.

Bunfill and Barnesville would then put it away on their next possession as he made his way into the endzone again.

Shamrocks get the Milk Jug, winning 28-26.
