Bellaire Crushes Bishop Ready

Tyler West returned the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown, and the Bellaire Big Reds dominated Columbus Bishop Ready 30-0 at Nelson Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Big Reds running game was led by senior Brandon Laughman who rushed for 197 yards on 31 carries and a touchdown. Seniors Hunter Westlake and Bralen Snell added short touchdown runs in the fourth quarter to out it our of reach.

The Reds held the Silver Knights to a mere 70 yards at halftime, and out gained them 360-189 for the game.

Bellaire improves to 3-5 on the season, and will host Union Local (3-5) next Saturday afternoon.

Bishop Ready (5-3) lost badly for the second straight week, after unbeaten Loudonville whipped them 64-14 last week.
