The former Bridgeport High School teacher found guilty of murdering his wife was sentenced Friday morning in a Belmont County Court by Judge Frank Fregiato.
Michael LaMotte was sentenced to life in prison and is not eligible for parole for 18-years because of a firearms specification handed down from Judge Fregiato.
LaMotte will be 82-years old before he is eligible for parole.
