A Belmont County man facing a murder charge in the death of his wife was indicted by the grand jury Wednesday in Belmont County.
Michael LaMotte was indicted on an aggravated murder charge with a gun specification. His pre-liminary hearing set for Thursday is no longer necessary, according to authorities.
He is scheduled to appear next week for arraignment in front of Judge John Solovan.
LaMotte stands accused of killing his wife,Beverlyy LaMotte, back on Oct. 30 along Old Cadiz Road. His bond has been set at $1 million and he has been ordered to have no contact or communication with relatives of the victim.
