Benwood Manhunt Ends as Suspect is Taken into Custody

UPDATE: SATURDAY 1:00P.M.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Benwood Police have found Sean Spear and now have him in custody.

Officials say they found Spear at a house on 16th Street in Benwood.

Deputies have transported Spear to the Northern Regional Jail.

Benwood Police Chief Frank Longwell tells us that more arrests will be made in connection.

Benwood Police are on a manhunt searching for a suspect who escaped a police cruiser Saturday afternoon.

Authorities had an outstanding warrant for Sean Spear for domestic battery.

Benwood Police tracked Spear down and placed him into the police cruiser. Moments later Spear escaped the cruiser and took off on foot.

All officers are actively searching the area. Spear was last seen in Benwood.
