Bernie Dolan Honored for 3 Decades With Ohio Co. Schools

At Monday night’s Ohio County Board of Education meeting the board said good bye to a long time, distinguished employee.

Bernie Dolan attended his last board meeting with the district he’s been with for 30 years.

Dolan served in many areas throughout the Ohio County School District in his three decades, including administrator, teacher and coach.

He was an Assistant Superintendent for two years and also served as principal at Wheeling Park High School.

“Ohio County has given me great opportunity to do a lot of things. I’m really looking forward to my next stage in life, but I would like to thank my family for letting me have the time to do all of the things I have done,” added Dolan.

He was emotional as he addressed the board one final time.

Dolan was presented a plaque from Ohio County School Superintendent Diana Vargo.

Dolan will soon be taking over as Executive Director of the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission.
