For 25 years now, a local church has recognized that in order to succeed in life we need to give back when we can.
The Bethlehem Apostolic Temple is gearing up for their annual Christmas Basket Giveaway, and this year they hope to be able to provide enough food to last up to three days for families who are in need.
They’ll also be putting smiles on the faces of children by passing out toys, as well.
“If I know that you’re in need and I refuse to do anything, eventually somebody might take desperate means to try to meet that need, so if we can help each other with those needs before they get desperate, then it makes all of our lives better,” Dr. Darrell Cummings, the Pastor at the Bethlehem Apostolic Temple said.
The Giveaway will take place on Saturday, December 19.
Reverend Cummings says in the last few years they’ve seen a large increase in need, so they try to do all they can to help.
