Big Red Advances to Semis After Taking out Johnstown Monroe


Steubenville Big Red jumped out to an early lead, and never looked back, in eliminating Johnstown Monroe 35-22 at Harding Stadium on Friday night in the opening round of the Ohio Division IV playoffs.

Junior quarterback Dmitri Collaros threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns, and classmate Johnnie Blue scored twice and piled up 158 yards rushing.

The Red, now 8-3 on the season, advance to the regional semifinals where they’ll play Marion Franklin next Friday night.

The site will be determined on Sunday.

Johnstown Monroe finishes the season at 8-3.
