One day after two teens stumbled upon a body near a Wheeling walking path, detectives announced they have identified who it was.
On Friday night Medical Examiners and detectives from the Wheeling Police Dept. determined the remains to be that of 40 yr. old Daniel Thomas Bishop of Wheeling.
Bishop was reportedly identified through fingerprint analysis.
Detectives also noted that Bishop’s early autopsy report showed no sign of blunt force trauma, gunshot wounds, or any injury that may suggest foul play.
The “Pig Path” was closed for several hours after the discovery on Thursday.
Anyone with information on Bishop is urged to contact the Wheeling Police Dept. at 304-234-3664.
