A boil water advisory has been issued for a number of areas of Steubenville, including Country Club Estates and County Road 26 from Lover’s Lane to Detmar Drive.
The Water Department advises that customers vigorously boil water for at least one minute if they plan on using it for drinking, cooking or oral hygiene.
The advisory has been issued as the city replaces a section of the water main that serves that area of the city. Once the replacement is complete, the department will collect samples in the area to analyze.
When the results come back satisfactory, the boil water advisory will be lifted. If customers have any questions they can call 740-283-6041.
