Today is National Signing Day and there are many players in the Ohio Valley who could be signing their letter of intent to Division 1 and 2 schools.

St. Clairsville linebacker Brendan Ferns kicked things off Wednesday morning by announcing on Twitter his commitment to sign with West Virginia University.

Ferns played for coach Brett McLean at St. Clairsville where he was a Big 22 Player of the Year in 2015. He received more than 31 collegiate scholarship offers, including Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford and Wisconsin according to a WVU Sports press release.
