Bridgeport Schools have come up with a plan to make up for all those missed snow days.
Now that temperatures are finally above freezing, Superintendent Ted Downing announced Monday how the district intends to make up for the lost time.
Downing said the school day will be extended for one hour for the weeks of March 16, March 23 and April 13. School will also be in session on Monday, April 6. which was supposed to be a day off.
“This gives us four days of make up time,” Downing said. “We are doing it at this point in time rather than adding on at the end, due to the fact that we have a lot of state tests coming up. Hopefully the extra time will benefit our students since we missed so much time due to the weather this winter.”
