Many students and staff at Bridgeport High School have been sporting something other blue and black, Wednesday.
They were showing their true colors to show their stance against bullying. National Unity Day is the one day a year, when everyone can come together and bring awareness to bully prevention.
This movement at Bridgeport was sparked by student, Walker Polivka.
“Today’s National Unity Day and it’s apart of Bullying Awareness Month and basically, we all wear the same color, unite up against bullying,” said Polivka.
Administrators with the school say they’re happy the students took it upon themselves to show how strongly they feel about bullying prevention.
