The Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley handed out over $57,000 in scholarships this morning to 11 different community organizations in Marshall County.
The Foundation is a strategic grant-making program funded by Chevron.
Representatives with Chevron say they’re committed to helping worthwhile projects in Marshall County that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education.
“This is our third year doing that. We’re really excited to be apart of the community and giving back in this way with the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley and to date, we’ve given over $230,000, just to Marshall County residents through the Chevron Fund,” said LeeAnn Wainwright.
Chevron has also given over $7,000 each to The Children’s Museum of the Ohio Valley and the Benwood Police Department.
