Chase Spans 2 Counties, Reaches Speeds of 180 mph in Reported Stolen Camaro

A massive police chase that spanned two local counties and involved several police departments lands one man behind bars.

The car involved, a 2015 model Camaro SS, was reportedly stolen from the Parkersburg area. But somehow the suspect ended up in Belmont County.

An officer noticed the driver going 90 mph down Route 7 near Bridgeport.

That officer ran the plates, found the car to be stolen and that’s when the chase started.

They reached speeds of more than 170 mph before finally coming to an end near Wells Township at the Cardinal Plant when the suspect reportedly crashed into two police cruisers.

Brandon Lee Dunn, 31, of East Liverpool, is facing nine charges, four of which are felony counts.

Dunn’s bond has been set at more than $26 thousand dollars.

Bridgeport Police said they wouldn’t have been as successful if it weren’t for the help of Martins Ferry, Yorkville, Tiltonsville, Wells Township, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
