Oglebay Institute held its annual “Children’s Breakfast Among the Trees” Saturday.
Children and their families were invited to the Pine Room at Oglebay for a delicious breakfast, courtesy of Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, followed by nature-inspired crafts, reindeer stories and a meet-and-greet with Rudolph. The event serves as a fundraiser for Oglebay Institute which offers classes, camps, and other educational programs to the Ohio Valley.
“They’re ways for people to experience Oglebay Institute and the different programs that we offer throughout the year,” said Oglebay Institute President Danielle McCracken. “So it is about awareness and it is about education and of course its about raising funds for all the things that we do.”
The Institute has some other holiday events coming up–like a senior citizen luncheon and a wine tasting. For more information, you can visit their website at oionline.com.
