After years of hard work and hundreds of dollars in renovations, efforts are finally complete on the expansion of new church in Belmont County.
Church Alive is a non-denominational church located on the site of the former Key ridge Elementary School just outside of Bellaire.
The original school was built in 1926 and served the local community for nearly eighty years until it was closed in 2001.
The building was purchased by the church and demolished.
A new building was constructed to accommodate the expansion of the church.
“The key was we had a lot of good people join up with us with a lot of good help,” Pastor Jeff Lewis says. “We have a child ministry, we have three different children services going on at ten-thirty on Sunday while we have our regular service here and we have a nursery and we hired a youth pastor from New Mexico to start a youth program.”
Church Alive will hold building dedication ceremony during their 10:30 a.m. service Sunday morning. That will feature a guest speaker and a catered dinner following the service.
