The Vineyard Church’s grand opening of its newest church service at the Marquee Cinemas at The Highlands was held on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.
With its new concept of “church at the movie theater,” there will be a full worship band and children’s church in addition to the main sermon delivered by Pastor Chris Figaretti via video technology.
“We are still one church, but now with two locations,” said Figaretti. “Church at the movies is an engaging way to bring God’s message to another area in our region. We welcome both adults and children, as we also have children’s ministry during all our services. Our hope is that our expansion to the Highlands helps more people feel connected spiritually.”
Campus Pastor Barry Bullman expressed the need for the Vineyard to expand towards Pennsylvania in order to reach people who do not currently have a church home.
“Currently there are nearly 140,000 people without a church in the Ohio Valley, and we would like to welcome all to either of our campuses at the Highlands or at the Wardens Run Road location in Wheeling.”
Service times at the Vineyard on Wardens Run Road in Wheeling are on Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
