Teachers from all over the area are getting set to go back to work and the staff at one school district got a special treat Wednesday afternoon.
The Experience Church offered a blessing to teachers in the Bridgeport School District. The church pastors also served a free lunch to the entire staff, who will head back to the classroom tomorrow.
“We wanted to honor them and appreciate them for taking care of the children in the district and let them know how much we care. Just pore back into them like they pore into the kids each and every week,” said pastor Linda Seidler.
The Experience Church is located on National Road in Bridgeport and has been there for just over a year.
