The Weirton Fire Department welcomed two new members Monday morning, putting the department back at full staff.
Ronald Clutter and Brandon Scott were sworn in by Weirton Mayor George Kondik as the two newest members to the fire department.
Scott, who served in the national guard for six years, is coming in as a brand new firefighter. Clutter previously worked as an EMT. Both must undergo months of training before officially taking their new post in the community, according to Fire Chief Jerry Shumate.
Shumate said the two must also take part in a three year apprenticeship program. Their first day is scheduled for Dec. 29.
