Cloud 9 Partners With American Cancer Society, Offers New Wig Room

A local hair salon has announced it will be offering something new to its customers.

The Cloud 9 Salon in Martins Ferry decided to create a private wig room as the salon saw a need while they were doing their Make-A-Difference Monday for those affected by cancer.

They said a lot of those cancer patients were wearing bandanas, or did not know where they could get a wig.

The salon was sending people out to different places, or even taking them to try them on.

That is when salon owner Bridgette McLeod decided they needed the private wig room.

“So you can come in, try on your own wig in privacy, close the door, one of the girls can be in here with you to help you, and to help you pick out or to match it to your hair and your hair style that you’re currently wearing or that you had before if you lost your hair,” said McLeod. “Or even if you have tons of hair and you just want to try a different style out, you can definitely come in and try out a wig.”

The wigs range in price from about $70 to $200.

Cloud 9 has also partnered with the American Cancer Society as a host wig station.
