Columbus Teen Arrested After Shots Fired in Wheeling, WV


UPDATE 9:00 a.m. Monday

19-year-old Trever Da’Sean Nettles was arrested by the Martins Ferry Police Department on Friday, May 15.

He is being held in the Belmont County Jail under no bond, awaiting extradition back to West Virginia.


UPDATE 4:00 p.m. Tuesday

Trever Da-Sean Nettles, 19 of Columbus, OH, is wanted by police in connection with a shots fired incident Tuesday morning in the Hil Dar section of Wheeling.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest on a charge of wanton endangerment.


Just before 1:00 am Tuesday, Wheeling Police officers responded to the Hil Dar section of Wheeling regarding a complaint that someone had fired a shotgun at them.

Officers were able to confirm, based on statements by the complainant and evidence found at the scene that shots had been fired in the neighborhood.

Officers have a possible suspect and are working to obtain more information in regards to where that suspect is.  

As of 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, no arrests had been made.
