Local supporters came together on Sunday for the March for Babies at Oglebay.
The three-mile walk supports the March of Dimes, an organization that fights for stronger, healthier babies.
One local family organized a team of 58 members in honor of their daughter Myla, who was born prematurely at 26 weeks.
“They’re amazing with support. They’re there for you to kind of work things through, they get you with the community to have other people to talk to that went through the same thing,” Myla’s mom, Kristen Ruckh said.
“There’s a lot of premature babies born everyday so they can really use the funding and the support and everything March of Dimes does for everyone,” Myla’s dad Patrick said.
In addition to the three-mile walk, there were other activities, such as a balloon artist, Home Depot kids zone, and face painting.
The March for Babies is the largest annual fundraising event for the March of Dimes.
