One local community came together to show support for one of their own on Saturday.
Jake Hoskinson was cutting trees for firewood when one of the limbs flew back and hit him causing him to fall and hit his head on a stump causing a severe brain injury.
On Saturday, family and friends came together to help raise money for his medical bills. They held a dinner at the American Legion in Neffs.
Along with dinner, there were several raffles and local bands. His family says this event was so impotant because Jake still has a long way to go.
“He’s in therapy, he still has to have another operation yet,” Jane Hoskinson says. “He’s got a long way to go.”
If you would still like to help Jake, you can make a donation at any Belmont Savings Bank. Just tell them you want to donate to the Jake Hoskinson Benefit Account.
