Hundreds gathered to show their support for the missing teens and their family members.
Church groups from all over the area, as well as Union Local staff and students gathered at Jet Stadium for a candle light vigil. All this to show their unified support in the search for Kylee Taylor and Matt Bateman. A touching tribute for the teens, who have yet to be found.
“Everybody’s wanting to do something. ‘How can we help?’ Everybody’s worried, there’s a lot of phone calls. And this was a tangible way that the school presented that we could draw people together, and just be an encouragement to the family, and an emotional outpouring for student and siblings and friends,” said Tim Snyder, Minister at Bethesda Christian Church.
According to the Belmont County Sheriff’s department’s lead detective on the case, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will send a light aircraft to search for the vehicle the teens are said to have taken when they disappeared.
