The Consumer Energy Alliance hosted an Energy and Manufacturing Forum at the Oglebay Conference Center today.
Republican Gubernatorial candidate Bill Cole spoke and answered questions along with United States Congressman David McKinley.
The purpose of the forum was to discuss the energy opportunities in West Virginia, particularly surrounding oil and gas.
Congressman McKinley says he thinks the United States needs a national industry policy and that the Governor and President of the United States need to work together to grow this industry.
“I’m delighted and honored that they came here to West Virginia, and to Wheeling particularly, to be able to talk about it because we are [at the center],” said Congressman McKinley.
Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Jim Justice is also visiting the Ohio Valley. He is holding a meet and greet Wednesday at the Millsop Community Center in Weirton beginning at 6:30 p.m.
