A temporary employee working at Building 5 of the Capitol Complex in Charleston, West Virginia was bitten by a copperhead snake.
A memo was sent out to everyone working at Building 5 about the bite.
The memo said the employee was exiting the fire escape door on the Piedmont side of the building beside of Communications Division (Room 164) near the Building 7 restrooms at around 11:30 PM when the employee was but.
According to the memo, Office Services has been notified of a couple of snake sightings in various locations including the parking lot, and it suggests that employees should be cautious when walking around the capitol complex.
The memo concludes telling employees to contact Protective Services at 558-9911 and Office Services at 558-2857 if they encounter a snake.
