The recent weather featuring higher temperatures and rain has loosened up land across the Ohio Valley, resulting in several land slips and slides.
County Road 56 in Wetzel County is one of the only ways to get in and out of Pine Grove and now a land slip has nearly half the road heading down the hillside.
Viewers have sent numerous photos of County Road 56, showing just how bad it is has gotten recently. Nearly half of the road was wiped away during the current thaw, and many people who live in the area are asking when the road will be fixed.
Calls placed to Wetzel County Commissioners were directed to the Emergency Management Office. WTRF is waiting for a response about when the road will be fixed.
