Cramer Appointed to Serve as 2nd Judicial Circuit Judge

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin announced Marshall County Prosecutor Jeff Cramer was appointed Thursday to fill a vacant judgeship in West Virginia’s 2nd Judicial Court Circuit.

The 2nd Circuit serves Marshall, Tyler and Wetzel counties.Cramer will fill the vacancy effective immediately, which was created by the resignation of former Circuit Court Judge Mark Karl.

Cramer is a graduate of West Virginia University and West Virginia University College of Law. He began his career in 1997 practicing law in Moundsville at Berry, Kessler, Crutchfield & Taylor before serving as assistant prosecutor from 1999 to 2005.

He was appointed prosecuting attorney in 2005.
