A Painesville, Ohio father had enough of his fourth-grade student’s common core math curriculum, and let the world know by sharing his frustration on Facebook.

The dad posted a photo of a check he wrote to the school that no bank would be able to cash.

Instead of a dollar amount, he used common core math, by writing a series of “X’s” and “O’s” accompanying eight boxes with more “O’s” to indicate the amount of the check. Sounds easy, right?

The post has been shared over 25,000 times on Facebook. The clever dad later stated on his Facebook page, that he didn’t actually send in the check, but that it was just a slam on the common core curriculum that is being taught throughout most of the country and has been heavily criticized for over-complicating simple equations.
