Dangerous Suspect in Marshall County Now in Custody



West Virginia State Police confirm that Zachary Blake turned himself in and was found at a house out Fish Creek.

His original charge was malicious assault. Blake is now being charged with assault during commission of a felony, along with robbery and burglary.

Blake is currently being held in the Northern Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.

The woman that was assaulted by Blake is in Ruby Memorial Hospital under going surgeries but is in stable condition.

UPDATE:  Saturday 9:30a.m.

West Virginia State Police have confirmed that Zachary Blake is in custody .

He surrendered overnight.

The West Virginia State Police continue their search for a dangerous suspect following a hammer attack Friday night.

Troopers are looking for Zachary Blake of Marshall County after he reportedly attacked his girlfriend’s mother with a hammer at her home on Fish Creek.

As a result of her injuries, the woman had to be flown by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Blake is described as a white man, with a skinny build, and has a tattoo on his neck.
