DEA Busts Drug Gang’s Operation in Steubenville, OH


A six month long investigation yields fruit, resulting in the bust of a drug trafficking gangs place of operation. 

 Law enforcement agencies from Jefferson County, OH to as far away as Clarksburg,WV and Charleston, WV converged on the Heritage Place Apartments in Steubenville, OH, to search three apartments where DEA agent Suzan Williamson says a violent drug trafficking gang has been selling heroin.

“They are organized, they’ve been working together for some time and organized enough to where they are getting their drugs from the Detroit area,” Williamson said. “Selling it here in Steubenville, OH and also across the river in West Virginia.”

The case actually began in West Virginia, but through undercover buys and surveillance authorities were eventually lead back to the Steubenville, OH apartment complex.

Thirty law enforcement officers were needed to search the three apartments.

Several people have been taken into custody, but no arrests have been made.
