LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – A German shepherd named Ginger, is caught on surveillance video at the Apple Valley Animal Shelter in California.
Just days after she arrived, according to our CBS affiliate CBSLA, the homesick pup made a daring escape.
Animal Care Officers believe Ginger was trying to get home, but unfortunately she was given up for adoption when her owner became homeless.
He brought her to the shelter when he couldn’t care of her anymore.
Ginger was found days after the escape. She’s back there where shelter officials are trying to find a new owner to care for her.
