One East Liverpool mother is behind bars Wednesday after shooting up heroin in front of her son.

Steubenville Police responded to South Hollywood where officials were treating Beverly Meredith and Jodi Lasure for cardiac arrest after reportedly sharing a $20 hit of heroin.

Lasure told officers she went to the park with Meredith and her son and the two adults injected heroin.

Officers searched Lasure’s purse and discovered several baggies of prescription pills, gold spoons, hypodermic needles and a bag of heroin.

Lasure is charged with possession of drugs, child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments.

A family friend came to pick up Lasure’s son.
